Guest Bedroom Lighting

In older times, this room was, inevitably, known as the “spare room” and little attention would be paid to the décor or the lighting.

Nowadays in Ireland, the guest room epitomises the good taste of the owners. This will reflect an even higher standard of finish than the average bedroom in the house, as a result.

The Celtic Tiger introduced a sense of pride in the presentation of the home in all areas. Nowhere is this more obvious than the guest bedroom.

In most new homes, this will come with an en-suite bathroom.

The lighting will reflect the high standard of the room. Central lighting will of a highly decorative nature, if not indeed a chandelier style. The guest room in a modern Irish home will be more akin to a hotel bedroom.

Wall mounted beside lights over lockers is common as they leave space on the locker tops for effects.

The en-suite will have ceiling fixed bathroom lights with most likely additional mirror and shaving lights.
