Garden Lighting

Once again, in the garden area the golden rule of relativity should be observed. The display and brightness of lighting must be relative to the size of the garden at your disposal.

Many people rush out to acquire bargain basement garden lighting equipment in a sale without actually planning what they need and doing a layout first.

They arrive home with a plethora of cables and lights far in excess of what they need and rather than put some of the stuff away in the garage, they proceed to use it all in a vain attempt to exploit the value they got – or didn’t!

They end with a garden where lights are placed in every conceivable space that is available and the effect is tasteless and tacky.

There is a difference in what we at www.lightingireland.com call garden lights and landscaping lights.

Garden lights are designed to light up the darker and more hidden areas. Landscaping lighting is designed to highlight your shrubberies and flower beds.

For garden lighting, where the light units are exposed, solar lighting is ideal. They take in the light during the day and retain it for night use. There are no running costs and best of all they are portable, so they can be moved around the garden if deem unsuitable in a particular area.
